I think every forum needs to have one of these. I enjoyed the one we use to have quite a bit.
The Burning - 8/10 So after meeting Tom Savini at this year's Crypticon this showed up on Netflix. I'd never seen it before and now it's one of my favorite slasher movies. Right up there with the first Friday the 13th. I feel a bit foolish. I had no idea the raft scene had a reputation, I'd never heard anyone talk about it before. This is the first movie in a long time to genuinely catch me off guard.
Tales from the Crypt presents Demon Knight - 7/10 I'm a huge fan of this TV series. For the most part I enjoyed this for what it was but I hate, hate, hate Jada Pinkett.
Gyakuten Saiban - 9/10 Takashi Miike takes the helm in this adaptation of the popular Ace Attorney games from CAPCOM. His attention to detail is insane. Truly a movie made for the fans. If you're not familiar with the source material a lot of this movie is lost in translation, even with subtitles.

The Grey 8/10 It was solid, a few parts were just way too slow and convoluted. But over all it kept me interested and had some good realism to it. Besides, It's Liam Neeson versus Wolves!

Taken 2 - 7/10
Exactly the same as the first, which, in this case, is a good thing.

Goldeneye - 6/10
A View to a Kill - 7/10 Christopher Walken as a Bond villain. Cool stuff. This was the first Bond movie I watched outside of anything that came out in my lifetime.
The Spy Who Loved Me - 7/10 Excited to see Richard Kiel's Jaws in this. I met him at a horror movie convention. Wonderful guy, and he made this movie experience better by sharing some stories about the production.
Skyfall - 8/10

Mommie Dearest - 6/10 The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 - 7/10 I have to give it a lot of points for being so dead on in the presentation. Voice acting can be a little stiff, but it's almost a necessity when reading Frank Miller dialogue.

Flight 7/10 its a good story with a moral point to make you see coming from a mile away but still a great movie.

This Must Be the Place 9/10
What if Robert Smith from the Cure was sulking around America looking for a Nazi war criminal? Well, this movie answers that question, raises other questions not answered to my satisfaction but it was a great slightly less than two hour escape.
Dear Sean Penn,
Any shit I ever gave you about acting was wrong. You are teh gratest.
Love, TGB
