Have you seen [Rec] and [Rec] 2?
These freaked me out and after all the zombie dreck I've seen, that takes a LOT.

Now that's an endorsement I have only seen Quarantine. So that puts both these on my list!

Velvet Road (2011) (Short Film Review from Zombies Don't Run) Directed by L. Gustavo Cooper Velvet Road Official Site = velvetroadmovie.com/In the racially charged South of the 1960′s. the black population of a small town is blamed for the spread of a virulent plague. Bobby, a white mechanic, is racing through the countryside with his wife Carolyne. She was bitten by one of those infected and is fading fast. Awakening in a wrecked car with Carolyne missing, Bobby follows a trail of blood down the road towards a fateful encounter and an unthinkable choice. I have seen soo many zombie movie in my day it’s hard to find anything that just seems different. THIS is a short film that does deliver in giving us something different. Can you image a story where the black population is being blamed for a zombie outbreak? It’s VERY interesting and covers grounds that we rarely see in horror. It opens up for a whole series of possibilities that get touched on here, but it does leave you wanting more. This short is well made, well shot, and well-acted. It gives us a concept that I really would have loved to see in a full length feature. The short sample we get here makes for a great visual and is well worth seeing if you get the chance. The people behind this movie are clearly creative and I think we will see many great things from them in the years to come based off what we see here. I don’t usually give scores for short films, but I will just put it like this. If you want thumbs up or down from me on if this is a good short, I’d give you two thumbs WAY up. zombiesdontrun.net/

Now that's an endorsement I have only seen Quarantine. So that puts both these on my list! Seriously Morgue, those films are some of the best 'zombie' films since 28 days later.

The first [Rec] scared the HELL outta me!
I dunno if it was because I was reading the english subtitles and was more focused there or what, but DAMN!
When I watched it the 2nd time with my daughter, I was STILL freaking out!

Yeah, it's because the victims are not dumb, and they are quite sympathetic. And that scene where they have to go into the attic tunnels..in the pitch black...not fun.

The whole point of this was to suggest movies for ME to see on my limited and low resources.
